Tech Leader’s $1M Commitment Fulfilled in 2023
Comcast Texas invested more than a million dollars in 2023 to shrink the digital divide. Through a number of investments to dozens of local organizations, hundreds of southeast Texans received digital skills training, free laptops, connected to low-cost internet service and utilized free WiFi Lift Zones.

In 2023, Comcast also partnered with United Way of Greater Houston, among other community groups, to help raise awareness of low cost internet options like Internet Essential and Internet Essentials Plus.

Comcast Texas even launched a program made up of employee-led Digital Navigators — individuals who are affiliated with trusted, local, community-based organizations and who help people get online, secure a device and build digital skills.
The tech leader also added to its long list of Lift Zones, like the one located at Combined Arms, which is helping veterans connect to high-speed Internet free of charge. Comcast Texas also created a program where tenants at several Veritas proprieties were able to boost their digital skills, such are learning how to pay their rent online.
