Xfinity and Comcast Business are Bringing Fiber Internet to Bryan-College Station

BCS Expansion

It’s exciting news for Bryan-College Station! Xfinity and Comcast Business are bringing their state-of-the-art fiber network to Aggieland. The Brazos Valley is in for a serious upgrade in connectivity.

Construction to install the fiber network that will power homes and businesses across the region will begin in a few weeks. Crews will lay down more than 1,000 miles of fiber lines over multiple years, which will connect at least 70,000 homes and businesses to ultra-fast, secure Internet.

“Expanding fiber Internet in communities like Bryan-College Station will be a catalyst for economic growth in Brazos Valley, enhancing educational opportunities and helping residents and businesses have the tools they need to thrive in the digital age,” Nicolas Jimenez, Comcast’s General Market Manager of Bryan-College Station said. “By investing in the infrastructure and connectivity of these communities, we’re empowering individuals and businesses to succeed and pave the way for a brighter, more connected future.”

There are also plans to open a new interactive Xfinity retail store in the community. Customers will be able to make purchases in person, receive hands-on assistance, try out the latest products and learn more about the fiber-powered services. The Xfinity retail team will include people who live and work in Bryan-College Station.

The internet provider will continue its investment in the community, long after the build is complete. Comcast is committed to supporting economic growth, education, and community development throughout the Brazos Valley.
