Investing in Bryan-College Station

Starting this summer, Comcast will bring reliable, high-speed fiber Internet to Bryan-College Station. This fiber expansion will enhance digital infrastructure, promote economic growth, and position residents and local businesses for success in an increasingly digital world. The multi-year network expansion brings fiber Internet, mobile, entertainment, and security services from Xfinity and Comcast Business to residents and businesses for the first time.

The multiphase project includes building a new technology hub that will act as “the brain” of the fiber network, supporting all Xfinity and Comcast Business services including mobile. The tech leader also plans to open an interactive Xfinity retail store later this year.

Construction will be completed in phases. You’ll likely see us in your neighborhood in the months to come. We look forward to saying “Howdy” when we see you.

Construction Process

Locates

State law requires the marking of lines before digging can occur in public right-a-ways and easements. You will notice different color markings and flags that will pop-up in your community. Please don’t remove the markings; doing so may delay construction or pose a safety risk to our crews and the community.

Notification

Before our teams begins construction, we will provide you with a notification that includes when we will need to access public right-of-ways and easements on your property, what to expect during construction and how to protect your property and pets.  We also provide you with our local business partner’s contact information.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do during this construction process?
  • Watch for the notifications. It is easy to miss a mailer, door hanger or phone call as spam.

  • Keep your pets in your house. If access is needed to your backyard, please make sure your pets are safe and secure during the time period provided by Comcast.

  • Be patient. Comcast is having a new, state-of-the-art network built across these  communities and bringing the full suite of services. Comcast and our construction partner are working to complete this work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Be aware of construction workers. All construction workers and people placing door hanger messages will be wearing a safety vest and a badge identifying themselves as a Comcast employee or an authorized Comcast contractor.
