Construction Expectations

Notification

Before our teams begins construction, we will provide you with a notification that includes when we will need to access public right-a-ways and easements on your property, what to expect during construction and how to protect your property and pets.  We also provide you with our local business partner’s contact information.

Locates

State law requires the marking of lines before digging can occur in public right-a-ways and easements. You will notice different color markings and flags that will pop-up in your community. Please don’t remove the markings; doing so may delay construction or pose a safety risk to our crews and the community.

Our local teams use the utmost care and respect for the communities we serve and expand into. We use state-of-the-art equipment to install fiber lines with the least amount of disruption. Our teams are ready to respond to your feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do during this construction process?
  • Watch for the notifications. It is easy to miss a mailer, door hanger or phone call as spam.

  • Keep your pets in your house. If access is needed to your backyard, please make sure your pets are safe and secure during the time period provided by Comcast.

  • Be patient. Comcast is having a new, state-of-the-art network built across these rural communities and bringing the full suite of services. Comcast and our construction partner are working to complete this work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Be aware of construction workers. All construction workers and people placing door hanger messages will be wearing a safety vest and a badge identifying themselves as a Comcast employee or an authorized Comcast contractor.

What it Means for Your Local Community

When we come into a new community, we not only bring our next-generation network, but we take pride in embedding ourselves as a true partner to ensure that all residents and businesses feel supported. Comcast aims to increase economic mobility for the local community. That’s why we created Internet Essentials, a broadband adoption program that offers eligible households low-cost, high-speed Internet and affordable computers. Additionally, over the past three years, Comcast has invested millions in cash and in-kind donations into the Texas Region nonprofits focused on helping people build digital skills, expanding WiFiconnected Lift Zones and funding connectivity and Internet adoption programs.
