Team Up Volunteers Inspire Future Leaders at Boys & Girls Club of Rosenberg

Comcast Texas employees made an extraordinary impact on young minds during a recent volunteer event at Boys & Girls Club of Rosenberg. The day was filled with mentorship in STEM topics, engaging games, shared stories, and fun-filled activities, all aimed at inspiring creativity and fostering growth.

Jerome Butler, Comcast Texas’ Vice President of Technical Operations and a dedicated board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, was a guiding force behind the initiative. Butler, who has long championed the organization, spoke about his passion for empowering youth.

“I proudly support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston because I have witnessed, firsthand, the incredible impact the clubs have on our youth,” said Butler. “As a current board member and a former judge for their Youth of the Year program, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with the remarkable kids this organization serves. I see many of the kids as future leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and executives. I am inspired by their engagement, resilience, creativity, and ambition.”

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston serves as a pillar of support for children, offering a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow, express themselves, and develop essential life skills. Butler emphasized that the organization’s mission aligns closely with Comcast’s values.
“Their commitment to empowering children through mentorship, education, and enrichment programs aligns deeply with my values and the values of Comcast,” said Butler. “I believe every child deserves a place where they feel safe, seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. That place is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston.”

Through events like these, Comcast Texas employees exemplify the company’s commitment to giving back to the community and fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders. Together, they are helping to build a brighter future, one child at a time.

Team UP is Comcast’s always-on volunteer program.
