“Team Up” Volunteers Bring Passion and Purpose to Montgomery County
Comcast’s Team UP volunteers spent an impactful day transforming, tidying up and tagging at Conroe’s Community Assistance Center, an organization that provides housing support, food, clothing and crucial supplies to Montgomery County residents.
Comcast Texas employees came from around the region to tackle the “to do” list at CAC. First up, tagging thousands of rubber duckies to help prepare for an upcoming rubber duck fundraising race.
Next up, the food pantry was organized and restocked to make it easy for clients to find food along with medical and disaster supplies. Then the team of 70 employees headed outside to beautify landscaping and build an impressive gazebo for the gardens.
Comcast Texas employees said working at the Community Assistance Center made for an incredibly rewarding day.
“It was awesome to see so many of our Comcast Team dedicated to making a difference in the Conroe Community,” Team Up volunteer Lance Cone said. “From uplifting the community center property to building food storage shelves to help those in need, it was such a fulfilling way to start off my birthday and instill a sense of compassion that so many Comcasters care and are creating an impact.”
The Comcast team made new friends in the process … both human and web-footed!
Team UP is Comcast’s always-on volunteer program.
