Meet the Comcast Texas Community Impact and Digital Equity Team
Misha McClure, Director External Affairs

Misha McClure is an accomplished professional with a significant background in community and public relations (PR). With over two decades of experience in these fields, she currently holds the position of Director of External Affairs for Comcast – Texas Region. In this role, Misha leads the company’s philanthropic giving, community engagement and digital opportunity initiatives in Texas.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Misha is actively involved in various community-oriented organizations. She currently serves on the board of Easter Seals of Greater Houston. Misha also serves on the Mayor’s Office for Adult Literacy Advisory Council (MOAL), is a member of Dreams Unleashed- SHE Networks, and the Corporate Community Relations Council of Houston.
Educationally, Misha McClure is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication. Her academic background, combined with her extensive professional experience, positions her as a well-rounded and influential figure in her field.
Misha was raised on her family’s farm in Springridge, Louisiana; an upbringing that she credits with developing her character and a profound dedication to service. Currently she resides in Porter with her husband, Rodrick McClure, and their son.
Laura Mayorga, Manager External Affairs
Laura is currently Sr. Community Relations Specialist for Comcast in the Texas Region where she develops and nurtures relationships to support the philanthropic efforts of Comcast. With over fifteen years of experience in Community Relations, Brand Strategy, and Budget Management Laura has helped drive the elevation and performance of the Comcast brand in the community.
Her passion for working with and mentoring young children has been the catalyst for her volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters – Lone Star Chapter for over 10 years. Laura is a graduate of the East End Chamber L.E.A.D. Program (2019) and gives of her time on the Lone Star College Advisory Board. She currently serves on the Tejano Center for Community Concerns Board of Directors.
Laura immigrated from Monterrey, Mexico at a very young age and currently resides in Houston, Texas with her fiancé and daughter.

Justin Canas, Director External Affairs

Driven by a passion for community advocacy, Justin brings extensive experience in fostering collaboration and achieving common goals. With six years at Comcast, including roles in Sales & Marketing, and Effectv, he now contributes his expertise to the External Affairs team.
Justin is focused on building and nurturing strong relationships with key external stakeholders in both established and emerging areas. He strategically develops partnerships that support business objectives while significantly enhancing Comcast’s community engagement and digital opportunity initiatives.
His dedication and exceptional contributions were acknowledged with the 2024 Comcast Texas Region Lone Star Award. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Houston.
Outside of his professional life, Justin enjoys an active lifestyle that includes time at his family ranch deer hunting, competitive beach volleyball and pickleball, cheering on the Texans and Astros, and traveling to new places. He is also committed to giving back to his community through his involvement with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Lamb & Goat Auction Committee.
