Meet the Comcast Texas Community Impact and Digital Equity Team

Misha McClure is a born strategist who believes building strong community collaborations is key for optimizing exposure to grow your personal and professional brands.

With a rich history in community relations and PR, Misha currently serves as the Director of External Affairs for Comcast – Texas Region. In this role, she leads the charge on philanthropic giving, community engagement, and digital equity initiatives.

Misha’s professional journey is a testament to her commitment to growth and development. A distinguished graduate of Comcast’s Developing a Leadership Mindset program and the ENGAGE Leadership Development program, she is also a graduate of the Women in Cable Telecommunications Inspire Mentor Program, a pinnacle of mentorship excellence within the industry.

Misha serves on the boards of both the Easter Seals of Greater Houston and AAMA. 

Among her many accolades, Misha holds a special place of pride in her heart for her recognition at the 2018 Southern University Alumni Federation National Conference where she was awarded as a distinguished member of the Inaugural cohort of 40 Under 40 alumni, a prestigious honor that underscored her unwavering commitment to furthering the mission of the University.

Misha was raised on her family’s farm in Springridge, Louisiana; an upbringing that she credits with developing her character and a profound dedication to service. Hailing originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Southern University in Baton Rouge in 2002. Currently she resides in Houston with her husband, Rodrick McClure, and their son.

Bryce Kennard

Bryce Kennard | Manager External Affairs

Bryce Hairston Kennard serves as the External Affairs Manager for the Comcast Houston Region. In his role, he supports the company’s Digital Equity and community impact efforts.

Prior to Comcast, he managed corporate communications and public affairs for CITGO Petroleum Corporation. He began his career in London, England with Coca Cola’s European Marketing team and has held positions with Baker Botts L.L.P. and the Texas A&M University System. He has interviewed personalities ranging from supermodel Naomi Campbell to comedian Dick Gregory. His work has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, Southern Living magazine and the New York Times. His role as contributing editor for JONES magazine is documented in the BET television series “Keeping Up With the Joneses.”

He is the former board chair for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Houston Leadership Council and is a member of the Texas Central Railway Advisory Board. He is a former member of the board of directors for the Houston Area Urban League, the John P. McGovern Health Museum Professionals Circle, the Houston Coalition for the Homeless. He is also a graduate of Leadership Houston and an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow.

He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Morehouse College. His post baccalaureate pursuits include communications studies at Rice University and a master’s degree in community development.

Laura Mayorga is an avid community activist who tirelessly gives back to support the Houston community.

Laura is currently Sr. Community Relations Specialist for Comcast in the Texas Region where she develops and nurtures relationships to support the philanthropic efforts of Comcast. With over fifteen years of experience in Community Relations, Brand Strategy, and Budget Management Laura has helped drive the elevation and performance of the Comcast brand in the community.

Her passion for working with and mentoring young children has been the catalyst for her volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters – Lone Star Chapter for over 10 years. Laura is a graduate of the East End Chamber L.E.A.D. Program (2019) and gives of her time on the Lone Star College Advisory Board. She currently serves on the Tejano Center for Community Concerns Board of Directors. 

Laura immigrated from Monterrey, Mexico at a very young age and currently resides in Houston, Texas with her fiancé and daughter.
