Xfinity Partners with College Station to Celebrate Independence Day

Families from College Station, Bryan and surrounding communities packed the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater earlier this month to commemorate Independence Day. Comcast’s Xfinity brand was the presenting sponsor for the event.

Attendees enjoyed an evening of live music, fireworks and food. Xfinity and Comcast Business gave out hundreds of food vouchers, for families to buy meals at their choice of food trucks. Roughly 5,000 people were in attendance, according to the City of College Station, which hosted the event.

In his brief remarks before the concert, Nicolas Jimenez, Comcast’s General Market Manager, spoke about the benefits of having a new internet service provider coming to town.

“We’re building a brand new fiber network,” Jimenez said. “Xfinity and Comcast Business is going to bring the best, most reliable, fastest internet, fastest streaming, Xfinity mobile, all of these services for your home and business.”
