Comcast Texas Supports Hurricane Beryl Recovery Efforts

Food bank

As southeast Texas continues to recover from the impact of Hurricane Beryl, our Comcast Texas team is working tirelessly to assist families in Houston and beyond. While power is still being restored and neighbors face urgent needs, we are lending a hand to local relief organizations, from the coastal counties to towns and neighborhoods all across our region.

HOUSTON FOOD BANK

Comcast has partnered with the Houston Food Bank, providing $50,000 to support disaster relief efforts.

Team UP Food Bank

Our volunteers packed 2,560 food distribution boxes, for a total of 29,867 total meals prepared for Houstonians in need.

UNITED WAY

Comcast has also made a $10,000 donation to the United Way of Galveston Recovery Fund to help provide essential supplies such as cleaning products, food, and mosquito spray. Another $10,000 will support the United Way of Brazoria County Disaster Relief Fund, and $2500 will help the United Way of Brazos Valley support water relief efforts.

LIFT ZONE COOLING CENTERS

In addition to financial support, our teams are providing cases of water for our Lift Zones that are serving as Cooling Centers.

And what a sweet surprise in Kingwood! Xfinity handed out ice cream to residents who have been using the neighborhood Lift Zone to access Wifi in a cool, safe environment.
