Comcast Names New Senior Leaders for Houston’s Finance and Customer Experience Teams
Comcast will welcome two new members to its Houston senior leadership team — Alexander (Alex) Obregon and Nyisha Bostic. Obregon joins the company as the Houston region’s Vice President of Finance while Bostic has been promoted to Senior Director of Customer Experience for the region. Obregon and Bostic will report directly to the Senior Vice President of the Houston region, Ralph Martinez.
Alex Obregon, Comcast Houston’s Vice President of Finance
Starting in June, Alex Obregon will serve as the region’s chief financial officer and will be responsible for the Comcast Houston region’s finance, supply chain, real estate and fleet management functions. Obregon joins Comcast after serving as Deputy City Controller for the City of Houston — a role Obregon has held since 2016. Obregon was responsible for overseeing the City’s $5.1 billion budget, managing the day-to-day financial operations and providing leadership on complex financial matters.
“We are thrilled to have a finance leader of Alex’s caliber join our organization,” Martinez said. “His deep finance and leadership experience will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow our network, serve our community and further extend our services to customers in Houston and surrounding areas.”
Obregon is also a Lecturer and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Houston, where he lectures on finance for the Certified Public Manager Program. He holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and a Bachelor of Science – Psychology, both from The University of Houston. He is a member on several boards of directors for various community and civic organizations in Houston.
“I’ve seen firsthand the important work that Comcast does in Houston and am excited to join this company and this team,” Obregon said. “Through its digital equity programs and network expansions, Comcast is truly changing lives in this city. I’m looking forward to being a part of the difference they’re making.”
Nyisha Bostic, Senior Director, Customer Experience
Nyisha Bostic will lead the Houston region’s customer experience function and will be responsible for continuing to drive a customer-focused organizational culture.
Bostic has held several customer experience-focused roles during her 17-year career with Comcast. Prior to her new role, Bostic was the senior manager of Customer Experience for the Houston region. She also held positions as operations manager in the Onboarding Center of Excellence and site quality leader/master coach for the Houston Repair Center.
Bostic will soon complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She is certified in Design Thinking and is a Prosci Change Management Practitioner.
“Nyisha has a true passion for ensuring our customers’ experiences with Comcast are best-in-class,” Martinez said. “She has spent her entire 17-year career with Comcast focused on our customers and she is the right leader to take our customer experience efforts to the next level.”
“Our customers trust us with their connectivity, entertainment and enterprise needs, and we work hard to earn and keep that trust every day,” Bostic said. “This role is an opportunity to lead our overall customer experience strategy for the Houston region, but, more importantly, it’s an opportunity to support all the work our employees are doing every day to serve our customers the right way.”
