Comcast and Telemundo Houston Donate Laptops to UH Hispanic Alumni Association
April 1, 2022
In partnership with Comcast’s Internet Essentials program, Telemundo Houston donated 20 laptops with free internet connection for one year to the University of Houston Hispanic Alumni Association, UHHAA.
Laptops were presented on Saturday, March 26, to UHHAA board members by Telemundo Houston’s Community & Communications Manager, Rick Boeker. The free laptops will benefit UHHAA scholarship recipients this Spring. The scholarships are awarded annually to Hispanic undergraduates or incoming undergraduates.
Comcast’s Internet Essentials initiative will donate more than 2,000 laptops with free internet connection in an effort to encourage education and provide resources to youth, students and adults in Latinx communities.
