Foti Kallergis Named Director of Public Relations and External Communications for Comcast in Houston

Foti Kallergis has been appointed Director of Public Relations and External Communications for the Comcast Houston Region.

Foti is an award-winning communications leader and strategist with over 20 years of TV journalism and public relations experience.

“Comcast is more than just a leader in media and technology; it is a force for good in the Houston area—my hometown,” Kallergis said. “I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with a group of professionals who care so deeply about our customers and community by providing programs that aim to help bridge the digital divide and support our local businesses that make our community the special place it is.”

Foti joins Comcast from the City of Houston’s Houston Airports system where he served as the Director of Communications and Public Relations. He led media relations, executive and employee communications, digital and social media for Houston’s three airports—George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), William P. Hobby (HOU) and Ellington Airport/Houston Spaceport (EFD). During his time there, among many accomplishments, he successfully led internal and external communications during the COVID-19 pandemic, including FlySafe Houston—a global pandemic response and safety campaign. He also significantly increased engagement on Houston Airports’ 14 social media platforms. He previously served as a TV news journalist and personality for ABC, CBS and FOX. He has won numerous media and press awards, including four Emmy Awards and 13 Texas Associated Press Awards.

Foti obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism / Media Production from University of Houston. He is a native Houstonian and a first generation Greek American. He enjoys sharing his love of travel and watching movies with his son, Ari. Foti is a great cook and once owned an informal cooking school in Austin. During the pandemic, he discovered a hidden talent for digital art.
