When it comes to being an advocate for dogs, K9 Remington is more than that; he is a retired search and rescue K9, cancer survivor, and this year’s 2020 American Humane Dog of the Year. So, it’s no surprise he is joining forces with Comcast and Hallmark Channel to help shelter pets find forever homes through Hallmark Channel’s Adoption Ever After initiative.

Adoption Ever After, Hallmark Channel’s corporate pet adoption and advocacy campaign, is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of pet adoption and emptying pets shelters forever. Locally, Comcast’s Pearland and Cypress Xfinity stores will display posters of adoptable pets from BARC , the City of Houston’s Animal Shelter and Adoption Facility, October 17 -18. BARC is the only city shelter in Houston required by law to accept every animal that comes through its doors, regardless of breed, temperament, health conditions, and circumstance.

“Through our partnership with Comcast, together we have helped find forever homes for countless pets in the Houston area and throughout the country,” shared Marc Lindenman, Director of Client Services & Partnership Marketing for Crown Media Family Networks. “We’re grateful for Comcast’s continued support and ongoing commitment to ending this country’s epidemic of pet homelessness.”

If you’re unable at this time to adopt a new furry friend but would like to support the effort, Hallmark Channel has set up an Adoption Ever After fund that provides resources to featured non-profits supporting the mission of abolishing pet homelessness.
